Best Tea Time Ever!

The Chelsea Flower Show launched the Best Tea Time Ever! then celebrity chef Angela Hartnett brewed up further support on the radio and the first tea parties were then held across the UK on 11th July.

People got together, put the kettle on, sliced up the Victoria Sponge (if they were lucky) and together had fun, socialised and brewed up support for older people in the UK.

From offices conducting dunking competitions to hospital physios showing their baking skills, the spirit of togetherness was evident.

Just a short break for tea can provide a long break for an older person.

If you haven’t already held your BTTE! then simply hold one during the summer.

Best Tea Time Ever! helps raise vital funds for our support of older people across the UK - with YOUR help! As long as you have the people, the time and the tea then you too can show your support for older people.

Peter Wimblett

Peter Wimblett, a sixth former at Hampton School in Hampton, Surrey recently ran the London marathon for NBFA. It was his first marathon and he was raising funds for NBFA.

Peter then followed up his marathon run by joining our big 5K run at Bushy Park in June 2006! We are delighted for Peter's support and the money he has raised through his efforts - could YOU help us as well?

There are dozens of ways you can get sponsored for NBFA – run, cycle, abseil – you name it, NBFA can help! We have sponsor forms and can send you hints on getting people to pledge money.
