Volunteers![]() NBFA is grateful for the huge amount of time, energy and enthusiasm that volunteers donate to us. A few hours of spare time can make a huge difference to the lives of older people. NBFA has volunteering opportunities for people who would like to help. We welcome applications from people who have administrative or fundraising skills, or who want to develop them and can give a regular commitment to work from our offices in central London. We try to make creative use of our volunteer’s skills by creating specific roles with clear expectations on both sides, so the experience is worthwhile. Fundraising in your local area is also a huge help to NBFA. We rely entirely on our donors and volunteers to fundraise for our services for older people. Whether you want to run, do a parachute jump, organise a tea party, sell raffle tickets, adopt a collection box or organise a fundraising event we are very happy to support you and provide ideas. Please fill in the form below and we will contact you. Volunteer Holiday Couriers![]() We also have vacancies for couriers to accompany older people on the spring and autumn holidays organised by NBFA. The holidays are based at a hotel, for six days in a seaside resort. The courier’s role is to sort out minor problems, ensure the smooth running of the holiday but their most important job is to ensure that the holiday-makers have fun. Good, organisation skills, a sense of humour and above all energy and people skills are required. NBFA provides high levels of support and training for this role. Find out more about the holidays. If you are interested in volunteering for NBFA, please contact Lacie Cole, Holiday Coordinator on 020 7828 0200, fill in the volunteer enquiry form below or download the application pack. Applying to be an office volunteer or holiday courierWe will send you an application pack – which includes our equal opportunities policy and volunteering policy - and then invite you for an interview. We will take up references and ensure that we can take up a Criminal Records Bureau check where we require one. We want to provide the best service that we can to older people, so we have a strong commitment to providing a high level of support and training to our volunteers. If you are selected to be a volunteer, you will have the training and support you need for the work you are going to do.
